Police have cordoned off part of Ripple Road following concerns for the safety of two men.

They scaled scaffolding on the side of a block of flats this afternoon (Tuesday, July 23).

Emergency services, including the London Fire Brigade and the London Ambulance Service, are at the scene.

Two police officers appear to have climbed the lower part of the scaffolding to talk to the men.

A Met Police spokeswoman said: "Police were called at 3.44pm following concerns for the welfare of a man seen standing on scaffolding around a residential building.

"Officers are on the scene and attempting to engage with the man.

"Road closures are in place."
