ROBERT Clack School has been identified as one of just 12 in the country to excel "against the odds".
The praise came from education watchdog Ofsted yesterday (Tuesday).
The inspectorate paid tribute to headteacher Paul Grant who turned the school with atrocious behaviour, poor standards and a reputation "at rock bottom" into a "beacon of success".
Now a specialist science school, it became the highest performer in the borough at A-level.
