What a fitting tribute the Post paid to Rifleman Martin Kinggett who bravely lost his life fighting alongside his comrades in action in Afghanistan on February the 25th.
I never met Martin but his dad Andy always speaks of him with much pride and love.
Our young soldiers like Martin Kinggett are doing a very difficult job in a country which is far away from here and our lives.
His passing at such a young age will leave a big hole in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
I am proud Barking and Dagenham Council is doing its bit to honour and remember his life and sacrifice. I salute you Rifleman Martin Kinggett.
