The average price of a property in Barking and Dagenham rose towards the second half of last year, comparative figures of monthly sales in 2012 show.
From January to June the borough’s average home sold for �208,800, but a fairly steady increase from July onwards saw that figure climb to �212,600.
The latest statistics from the Land Registry, which records property prices in England and Wales, go up to November.
October sales were the strongest in Barking and Dagenham, with the average property price reaching a yearly high of �215,900.
June recorded the lowest worth, with the figure dropping to �205,100.
As has been the trend over recent years and decades, Barking and Dagenham still has the lowest house prices in London.
Figures from the final quarter of 2012 show that the average home in the capital is now worth �365,000.
Kensington and Chelsea is the priciest borough with homes selling for �1.1million on average in the final quarter of last year.
