A DAGENHAM man has been nominated for an award in recognition of the stellar job he does in coming to the aid of stricken motorists.

Father-of-two Anthony Allpress has worked as a patrolman for car rescue company RAC for two years now and loves his job.

He was nominated by members of the service for the Patrol Ambassador of the Year Award because of his high standards.

If he wins this Saturday (March 28) he will become an elite patrolman.
