I went with my son and a crowd of Hammers supporters to Palermo -- forget the game, but remembering walking what seemed miles from the centre to the ground, surrounded by police.

The atmosphere in the centre during the day was fantastic and it was great to be among the supporters.

I remember seeing Ray Winstone walking around the pitch towards us fans, as I am sure he just wanted to be among us. Nobody realised that my son and me were left be giant blisters walking all that way.

Bring on Europe again!!
