THE RECORDER readers have bucked the trend this season by voting Rob Green as their Hammer of the Year.
It was a close run thing, with Scott Parker pipped into second place by less than 10 votes, but in the end Green was a worthy winner and retains his Recorder crown.
In a wide-open competition where hundreds of votes were cast, Carlton Cole finished in third, with Matty Upson fourth.
The winner of our competition will be announced next week.
