WOODFORD Golf Club's competition year finally got under way with the February medal, after January's was postponed.
In Division One, Mike Hennessy (13 handicap) continued his form of last year with 39 stableford points, beating Nick Rowe (12 handicap) on countback.
Paul Swindells (five handicap) was third with 36 points.
Hennessy's handicap was cut to 12 as a result.
In Division Two, Eion Botha (15 handicap) scored 34 points, five clear of David Warden in second spot.
Roger Newman headed a group of players on 28 point.
