Brazilian photographer Adriano Rodrigues is unveiling the secrets of his profession in free workshops for children and adults at Dagenham’s Becontree Library on Tuesday.

He is joined for the Becontree Hundred social arts project by digital artist Gary Stewart for the sessions for ages seven and above.

They are inviting anyone to become a photographer and a video jockey for the day and get a taste of creating their own artwork from photos, video and music.

Best pictures could end up in an exhibition of 100 photographs of life on the huge Becontree Estate.

It is being organized by the Becontree Hundred for the People’s Palace, an arts and social justice centre at Mile End in London’s East London, to go on public show next month.

Four workshops are being staged on Tuesday at Becontree Library in Church Elm Lane. Two digital media sessions begin at 10.30am and 12.30pm and two photography sessions start 2.30 and 4.30pm,with no bookings or previous experience needed.
