A DISTRAUGHT mother has made a tearful appeal for her 16-year-old daughter to come home following her disappearance with a man nearly three times her age.

Lisa Wright left her home in Dagenham wearing her school uniform on the morning of April 28 but her mother later received a call saying that she had never arrived.

She reported her missing to the police later that day.

A pupil at Jo Richardson Community School, Lisa was due to sit her final GCSE examinations this week and wants to study psychology at university, but the school says she has not done a full week of classes for some time.

A spokesperson for the school said: "She is a really bright girl and she could do very well but if she misses her GCSEs it will have a major impact on her future."
