A TERRIFIED shopkeeper was knifed and threatened by a violent youth in a brutal convenience store robbery on Christmas Day.

Chetna Patel, 24, was working alone at the Quix store, in Dagenham, when a teenage thief targeted the shop at 2.20pm.

Ironically, her husband Pankaj was out collecting a CCTV camera, to secure the small Bennetts Castle Lane premises, when his wife's terrifying ordeal occurred.

Chetna told the POST: "I was alone in the shop and it was very quiet, but in the afternoon a young boy came in demanding alcohol.
