Service held for ex-Bishop Jim Roxburgh

ST MARGARET S church has held a service for former vicar and former Bishop of Barking Jim Roxburgh. The service took place on Saturday, March 15 at 12pm and was well attended by his friends and family. Mr Roxburgh had served as vicar at St Margaret s Chur

ST MARGARET'S church has held a service for former vicar and former Bishop of Barking Jim Roxburgh.

The service took place on Saturday, March 15 at 12pm and was well attended by his friends and family.

Mr Roxburgh had served as vicar at St Margaret's Church from 1965 to 1977 before becoming Archdeacon of Colchester.

At age 62 he began serving as Bishop of Barking and in 1990 he was made a Freeman of the borough.

He eventually moved to Liverpool to work as an assistant Bishop.

He is survived by children Pamela and Ian and wife Audrey.
