Sex shop gets thumbs up despite protests

THE OWNER of a sex shop as hit back against claims that his store is not right for the area after its licence was successfully renewed.

Members of the council's Licensing and Regulatory board approved the renewal of BC Books licence to trade as a sex shop from Bennetts Castle Lane on January 23, despite objections that it wasn't right for the area.

Now owner Bradley Rose has told the POST that many residents appreciate the shop.

He said: "We have been in this borough since 1996 and we were the first licensed sex shop here when we obtained a licence in 2003."
