SHANEE MARTIN, the east London-based super-flyweight campaigner, is back in the gym training for a return to action in 2010.

The former WBA flyweight world title challenger has not boxed since her first round win over Roxana Tenea at York Hall in September 2008, but aims to re-launch her career, which brought nine wins and a draw from 14 bouts.

Peacock Gym-trained Shanee is billed for action on the Goodwin Promotions show in April at York Hall, with Ukrainian Oksana Romanova, who defeated her on a cut-eye stoppage in 2007, as the likely opponent.

The east London promotion is also likely to feature another local hope looking for a return to action, 25-year-old middleweight George Hillyard.

The hard-hitting Hillyard has not boxed since retiring after four rounds against Matthew Thirlwall at Watford last May.
