A garden shed was destroyed and neighbouring properies were damaged by a fire in Dagenham yesterday afternoon.

Two fire engines from Barking and Dagenham stations and about 10 firefighters were at the scene in Brewood Road, off Lillechurch Road.

A London Fire Brigade spokeswoman said: "A shed in the rear garden of a terraced house was destroyed, as well as a number of fence panels.

"Part of the guttering and fascia boards of two neighbouring properties were also damaged."

The fire brigade was called at 3.40pm and the fire was under control by 4.16pm.
