SPECIALIST schools in Barking and Dagenham have been recognised by the Specialist School and Academies Trust for their students' GCSE achievements.

Barking Abbey, Dagenham Park and Robert Clack are three of 518 schools from across the country that were invited to attend a celebratory dinner in London, held on April 24.

Each of the 518 schools recognised by the trust have either helped bolster student's GCSE grades or performed exceptionally well in "adding value" to their grades.

Elizabeth Reid, Chief Executive of the SSAT said: "I would like to congratulate these schools for their outstanding achievement in adding value to the student's results.
