An “eclectic” mix of machinery, art, classics cars and ales are among the attractions on offer as the Steam and Cider Fair returns to Dagenham.

Line dancing, a Buddy Holly tribute act, stalls, rides and workshops will also be entertaining visitors throughout the day at the free festival in Old Dagenham Park on Saturday, July 1.

Councillor Saima Ashraf, deputy leader and cabinet member for community leadership and engagement, said it was a “great opportunity for us to come together as a community”.

“The unique display of machinery at this year’s fair will certainly reflect Barking and Dagenham’s industrial past,” she said.

“Mixing that with a whole host of art, entertainment and family fun is just the eclectic mix that this borough is all about.”

The festival is open from 11am-6pm. For more information visit
