MORE than £8,000 worth of recording equipment has been stolen from a music studio in Dagenham leaving a promising young artist devastated.

The burglary happened on Wednesday, April 23, when valuable microphones, amps and mixing desks were taken from the studio in Bush Grove Road.

The studio is a recording haven for Dagenham rapper Jovan Roberts aka Reka Rekanise who was recently featured in the POST.

The 22-year-old rising star said he was left "gutted" by the crime.

He said: "This is my home studio, it belongs to my friend and if I need to write a song until late or put a track down in the early morning then I knew I could stay there.

"It really got me down to start with because it was like a home to me. I felt relaxed there."
