Budding young performers learnt from some of the industry’s best during half-term this week.

Former EastEnders star Ashley J and the West End’s Jade Hackett led the Studio 3 Arts Big Deal project, teaching wannabe dancers, actors and comedians the tricks of the trade.

Children took part in dance, theatre and performance workshops at the Galleon Community Hall in Barking throughout the week.

Liza Vallance, Studio 3 Arts artistic director, said: “It’s been such a buzzy atmosphere. We’ve had about 40 young people writing and performing theatre pieces, learning new choreography and recording voice-overs.

“It’s been brilliant to see the place so full of life, talent and enthusiasm.”
