TWO boys aged 14 and 15 have been arrested after a stabbing outside one of the borough's secondary schools

The teenagers, who cannot be identified, were detained after a 17-year-old Dagenham man was stabbed in the arm outside Sydney Russell School, in Parsloes Avenue at 12.30pm last Thursday.

The victim had been waiting for a friend outside the school when the attack took place; he was rushed to King George's Hospital and given four stitches to his wound.

Swarms of police quickly surrounded the scene and cordoned off an area outside one of the school entrances as well as an exit from one of school buildings.

All Sixth Form pupils were searched as they left the premises and worried parents waited outside. Lee Inwood, whose daughter is a year seven pupil, said: "I am absolutely disgusted. I am scared for the safety of my child in that place.
