The Festival of Everyone is coming to Barking and Dagenham this Saturday with a full programme of events as part of Participatory City’s £6.4 million investment into Barking and Dagenham.

Dagenham
Lightning talks: get inspired by stories of people doing great projects. Talks are 15 minutes long and held at Dagenham Library:

Neighbourhoods building communities by sharing every day, useful tools.
1045 – Sew London
Solving textile waste issues by repurposing and upcycling materials.
1100 – Mother House
Art studio spaces where childcare is integrated, building opportunities for mothers.
1115 – Triton Vale pocket garden
Transforming waste ground into a community landmark.
1130 – Trailnet’s Respoke Project
A community project where local people can come along to learn about bikes.
1145 – Practice and participate
The project explores the utopian origins of the garden city movement and Becontree estate.
