FAMILIES living in Stour Road were amazed to see one elderly couple's way of getting around parking problems outside the council offices.
Neighbours and passers-by looked in astonishment as a man and woman parked on the grass, then drove along the pavement and exited at the pedestrian crossing.
The whole thing was captured on camera by eagle-eyed Lisa Warren, who lives on the Stour Road estate in Dagenham.
She said: "If it had not been such a dangerous thing to do I think I would have laughed when I saw it.
