TWO traffic wardens have appeared in court charged with supplying drugs while on duty.
Trevor Benjamin, 24, of Greenway, Dagenham, and Craig Shurmur, 29, of Wellington Drive, Dagenham, are alleged to have sold three bags of cannabis to an undercover tabloid newspaper reporter.
Both men have been charged with two counts of misconduct in public office, over allegations they told the reporter to get in touch with them if he ever got a parking ticket, as they could get it revoked.
A hearing at Stratford Magistrates' Court last week (Wednesday), heard the pair have been suspended from their jobs.
They were employed by APCOA Parking UK Ltd to work across Redbridge as traffic wardens.
The case was adjourned and both men were granted conditional bail.
