Choice Training awards day

A year-old training centre for construction and electrical trades has celebrated its first awards ceremony.

Choice Training opened up in Wantz Road, Dagenham, to help the local community gain skills to get back into work.

On Fridat they held an awards day for their plumbing students.

Winners included Bradley Staines for the most improved student, Paul Mandla for best apprentice, Jake Webb for best contribution to equality and diversity, and Mubeen Bhikhi for best diploma student.

Sue Maw, from Choice Training, said: “We have been open a year now and we wanted to finish the term by congratulating some of our students on their performance. It’s been hard work since opening last September but we have gained a lot of self satisfaction in turning a lot of students lives’ around in the local area who have been long term unemployed and now have a future career to look forward to.”
