A two car crash in Wood Lane, Dagenham has left one car overturned and a person trapped in their vehicle.

Firefighters were called to the scene at 2.51pm to reports of a crash involving two vehicles.

A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade said: “One person is trapped and we are making efforts to rescue them.”

It is unclear whether the person is a driver or a passenger.

A spokesman for Metropolitan police said: “We were called to Wood Lane following a collision between two vehicles.

“A male has been taken to hospital.

“We await an update about his condition, road closures are in place.”

No arrests have been made.
