Two charged with murder over death in bookie's

TWO teenagers have been charged with the murder of 60-year-old Leslie Bones in a Barking bookmaker s shop. Andrew Angus, 18, of Bevan Avenue, Barking, and a 17-year-old who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear in Barking Court today (Friday).

TWO teenagers have been charged with the murder of 60-year-old Leslie Bones in a Barking bookmaker's shop.

Andrew Angus, 18, of Bevan Avenue, Barking, and a 17-year-old who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear in Barking Court today (Friday).

Police were called to Coral's in Station Parade, Barking, after Mr Bones, of Merton Road, Ilford, collapsed on the afternoon of Saturday April 19.

He died later that night in hospital and a post mortem gave the cause of death as a blow to the head.

Two men, aged 20 and 22, were also arrested on Sunday in connection with the incident and released on bail until May 6.
