BOBBIES on bikes will be helping families feel safer in the borough's parks and playgrounds.
Four officers and their sergeant can already be seen wheeling through Goresbrook, Parsloes, Mayesbrook and Barking Parks.
And soon Greatfields, Central, Country, Old Dagenham and St Chad's will get the same treatment.
The idea is modelled on a system used in America and will eventually see 10 officers peddling their brand new mountain bikes around our parks.
