STRATFORD WESLEYANS cruised to an easy 144-run victory over Upminster at Barkingside last Saturday.
Batting first, the Newham side made a slow start with Tony Bowers (45) and Joe Keep (22) finding runs hard to come by.
Daniel Cockley did hit a quick-fire 29, in an innings which included two fours and three sixes.
Steve Ashlin chipped in with 22, but it was the innings of Stacy Bowtell that took the game well and truly away from Upminster.
Stacy, then fired the bowling attack around the ground hitting 51 not out in under 30 minutes.
After lunch, Upminster were in trouble from the second over, losing Evans and Ward to the bowling of Tony Keep.

At 9-4 the game looked lost, but Stuart Green with 24 tried his best to rally his side into a fight back.
However, the bowling changes of Hughie McGuire, 2-9 and Joe Keep, 2-1 put the away side out of their misery, ending the game with only 22 overs bowled.
