A VIOLENT brawl broke out in the street between three drunken yobs who were armed with sticks and poles.

The men, who were aged 26, 38, and 45 had been drinking in Station Parade, Barking before the fight broke out on Thursday November 27.

During the brawl, the girlfriend of one of the men attempted to intervene and got caught in the crossfire, leaving her with an injured hand.

She was treated at King George Hospital, Goodmayes, later that night.

At least four police cars and an ambulance raced to the scene to break up the fight.

All three yobs were arrested at around 11.30pm and spent a night in the cells.

A police spokeswoman told the POST "Officers were called to Station Parade to reports of men fighting in the street, some of whom were armed with sticks and poles.

"A woman was injured during the fight and was later treated at the hospital.

"The three men, who were all from Barking, were arrested.
