IT wasn’t all doom and gloom as heavy snow blanketed Barking and Dagenham today,
These children are among the many who made the most of the weather by digging out their sledges and making snowmen.
They were pictured earlier today as heavy showers began to fall.
The snow also provided some picturesque scenes, and gave a decidedly Christmas edge to the day before the festivities officially begin on December 1 tomorrow.
