We knew last season that our real problems revolved around the fact that we didn't and couldn't score enough goals.
From the CEO to the manager, supporters and media also know this.
Most people are aware of the fact that Duxbury and Nani haven't been at the Barclays Asia Trophy because they are busy trying to tie up deals for players to fill the positions which we lack strength in (two strikers/ or plus one attacking midfielder and a left back).
We haven't got a shed load of money so those are the positions they are concentrating on.
The right back slot can be filled with players already in the squad, and if given the chance (like Cole and Boa Morte) by supporters, Spector, Gabbidon Spence and even Behrami can do a job there.
Cole will never be the greatest goalscorer but he is one of the Best target men/foil that a fox in the box speedy type strike partner could wish for.
Knowing that the board and management are trying to secure deals for players at this very moment means that I'm happy to wait and see.
Getting beaten by the spuds always hurts but put into context they have had a damn sight more competitive games than us at this stage (Barcelona and Celtic) and we had an important pre-season game rained off also.
