SOME time ago I noticed in the Dagenham Post a letter from the Chief Executive Rob Whiteman.
Will he or some member of our council explain how in the Post on Wednesday July 1, 2009 Council names and shames ten people, and written off more than 2.7 million of debts, and then again on September 2, 2009 another �279.000 of bad debts.
How many more times is this going to happen. Will this mean extra council tax next year for the rest of us that dutifully pay our share?
How can people be allowed to accumulate so much debt? Are there no such things as debt collectors in Barking and Dagenham?
