With the New Year kicking in, Trevor Davies looks back over the last 10 seasons and selects his best Orient team of the decade.
THE highlight of the last decade for Orient fans was gaining promotion on a drama-drenched day at Oxford United in 2006.
Lee Steele's last-gasp goal sent Orient up to League One and Oxford down into non-league football.
It's a game that will live long in the memory of all Orient fans as Martin Ling managed what Pat Holland, Tommy Taylor and Paul Brush all failed to do, which was deliver promotion after 11 long years in the bottom division.
That was undoubtedly the most memorable match of the decade, closely followed by the FA Cup win at Fulham.
So, it's no surprise that several of the promotion-winning side made it into my team of the decade .......
