A WOMAN died of head injuries after an accident with a bus as she crossed the road outside Barking Railway Station.
Chaiyoon Taikie, 64, of Priory Road, was in collision with a 179 double-decker as she tried to cross Station Parade on Wednesday (October 15.)
She was rushed to Queen's Hospital in Romford, but died later from massive head injuries.
Miss Taikie was originally from Mauritius, but moved to the UK in 1973. She had lived in Barking for 23 years, and worked as a civil servant in Stratford.
