Management team Gianfranco Zola and Steve Clarke have accepted an apology and damages from the BBC after a radio programme suggested that they would be taking over the reins at Chelsea next season.

The comments, made by journalist Harry Harris on Radio Five Live, claimed that the pair had already gone for an interview at Stamford Bridge - contrary to the terms of their contracts at West Ham.

Meanwhile, Jordan Spence has been chosen in the England under-19 squad for their European Elite qualifying tournament.

Defender Spence, who has spent half the season on loan at Leyton Orient, hopes to play against Bosnia at Doncaster on May 27.

Savio has been selected for the German under-20 squad to play Italy on May 19.
