WEST HAM star Mark Noble confirmed something that we all suspected anyway about life down at their Chadwell Heath training ground - manager Gianfranco Zola (below in his Italy days) is still better than all the other players!
The midfielder recalled the Italian's first ever training session when he took the reins at the club, as he made quite a first impression.
"I'll never forget his first day in training," he revealed. "The ball got zipped into him, he joined in the game and he Cruyff-ed a player and then chipped Robert Green.
"He apologised afterwards for it and it wasn't a flash apology he was genuinely sorry."
You can understand why the players want to play for Zola, but you can also remember the amount of fantastic players who have failed to adapt to management because they cannot understand the failings of players with lesser ability than themselves.
The jury remains out on Zola, but the chances are he will make a success of things.
