Stillwater report: There have been some happy anglers on Wagtail lake at Tylers Common fishery in the past few days including George Langham who had a 100lb of skimmers on sweetcorn on peg 17.

Brian Davis was another angler enjoying good results when had a 16lb carp on a 2lb hook length and number eight elastic on his pole on a halibut pellet also on Wagtail On peg 18.

On peg 11 David Knight, fishing between islands, had five bream to 6lbs, plus six carp to 16lbs 14ozs on halibut pellet.

Also on Wagtail, Justin Rasburn and Mark Williams had 22 fish in four hours. I hear that they did not have a single bite until 2pm then all hell broke loose.

They had bream to 6lbs, barbel to 4lbs and carp to 12lbs 4ozs, along with tench to 3lbs all on tutti fruitie boilies.

Meanwhile, on Ash Lake, on pegs 22 and 23, Ian Kerridge and Lenny Golding were having a pleasure day. Between them they had 500lbs of carp on cat meat.

On the A12 Cuton lakes, it seems anglers fishing double sessions are having as many as 18 good doubles.

On lake two, night anglers are finding it a bit slow but daytime is fishing well for tench to 8lbs, also good double figure carp.

On the match lake, weekway anglers are having some good sport with carp and quality perch, while bream are also making a show.

Local angler Alan Ivory also enjoyed a day to remember when had a 90lb haul of carp to 7lbs also bream to 3lbs.

Match results: The Tuesday Open on Ash Lake this week was won by Graham Dack (Middy) on peg 3. He weighed 171lbs and fished pellet up in the water on the pole, just ahead of second placed Steve James (Ockendon bait and tackle) on peg 7, who weighed in 170lbs 8ozs fishing pellet well over depth.

In third place was Mick Vincent (Raiders) on peg 21. He weighed in 165lbs fishing pellet up in the water, fourth was Dennis Lipscombe (Oakwood Angling) on peg 20 who weighed in 119lbs.

Taking fifth place was Matt Hodgson (Tylers) on peg 4 who weighed in 97lbs fishing the top three. Sixth was Rav Pisano on peg 23, who weighed in 93lbs fishing pellet on the long pole.

Next week the match is on Ash Lake. The weights on these matches are tremendous considering the time of the year.

The Saturday Open on the Horseshoe Lake was won by Rob Bishop on peg 10 with 48lbs 4ozs and finishing just ahead of L Ripper with 47lbs 4ozs on peg 11.

Finishing in third place on peg 7 was Len Golding with 41lbs 4ozs, fourh on peg 1 was Mickey Hood with 39lbs 2ozs, fifth on peg 4 was A Stepton with 38lbs 15ozs, while sixth on peg 51 was B Davis with 36lbs 4ozs.
