Barking Roadrunners and Dagenham 88 impress in action

It was a quiet week for Barking Roadrunners, although a handful of members were in action at the Hatfield Broad Oak 10k on Bank Holiday Monday.

Joyce Golder led the way for the club, finishing in 1:01.07, while Barry Rowell recorded a time of 1:09.33 and Lizzie Beth Garaghan completed the course in 1:15.25.

Meanwhile, Dagenham 88 Runners were in action across a range of events over the past week, producing solid performances on the track, road and at parkruns.

At the Serpentine Friday 5k, Timi Selon Veerasamy recorded a time of 30.55.60, while over the longer distance at the Southampton Half Marathon, Billy Wilkinson finished in 1:57.44 and Nadia Shah completed the course in 2:26.57.

There was also strong representation at parkruns.

At Thorney Bay Beach, Timi Selon Veerasamy ran 32.38, Kresh Veerasamy 38.16 and Sam Veerasamy 47.02.

At Maldon Prom, Evie Beazeley clocked 28.33, Andrew Beazeley 29.34, Gary Cardnell 30.53, Jenny O’Hanlon 32.36, Lorraine Hilton 34.01 and Amelia Beazeley 39.43.

At Valentines, Manji Gami finished in 29.40, James Byers 40.59, Ronnie Waller 54.54, Kara Byers 58.48 and Sonya Byers 58.50.

Peter Grant recorded 33.19 at Northala Fields, while Caroline Tuck impressed at Alton Water with 23.55.

At South Woodham Ferrers, Rahana Islam ran 27.13, John Hughes 28.23, Emma Dudman 28.44, Beverley Eagles 34.21 and Emma O’Shea 34.22.

David O’Brien completed Hampstead Heath in 45.40, Daniel Allen ran 26.00 at Soham Village College, and Jacqui Elliott clocked 45.03 at Walton Promenade.

At Harrow Lodge, Abigail O’Shea finished in 34.21, Kian Lacey 42.29 and Allan Lacey 42.31, while David Lacey recorded 28.40 at Southend.
