The latest news from the Dagenham 88s running club

Jak Wright finished fastest at the latest Barking & Dagenham junior parkrun, clocking a time of six minutes and 54 seconds.

Joshua Samuel (8.38), Jameal Samuel (8.40) Joseph Grange (8.46), Jasmin Cubitt (9.12) all broke the 10 minute mark.

There were new personal bests for Gabrielle Gabbidon (11.02) and Amaani Koomson (18.34).

In the senior race at Raphaels Park, Dagenham 88s’ Paul Prior (20.14) narrowly edged club colleague Mick Brown (20.15).

At the same race, Jamie Austin (25.46), Luke Summers (27.30), Louise Chappell (28.24), Sonya Veerasamy (28.50) and Vicky Woodhouse (29.43) all broke the half-hour mark.

Elsewhere, Thomas Dudman (22.21) and Richard Dudman (22.37) were among the club members to take part in the Valentines race.

Ryder Islam (27.58) was the fastest Dagenham 88 runner at the Barking parkrun event, while Emma Vincent (29.49) ran the Harrow Lodge race.

The club also had entrants in the races at Clacton, Cannon Hill in Birmingham, Horsham, Fountains Abbey and Queen Elizbaeth Park in Yorkshire.
