Dagenham 88 Runners saw four of their busy members complete a triple of two cross-country outings and a parkrun at the weekend.

Louise Chappell, Manji Gami, Rahana Islam and Hannah Sheikh took part in the Chingford League meeting at Trent Park on Saturday, as well as the South Essex League fixture at Hadleigh on Sunday and parkrun events.

Sheikh (40.13) led the way home at Trent Park, followed by Micky Pegnall (40.27), Chappell (47.48), Luke Summers (41.03), Andy Beazeley (43.24), Jenny O’Hanlon (44.06) and Lynne Northcott (50.02), as Jamie Austin, Rahana Islam and Gami also ran.

Daggers finished fifth in the Division Two standings the next day, as Paul Suett led the men home in 30th place in 26.10.

Peter Salmon (30.10), Austin, Rob Newton (31.56), Mo Toki, Luke Summers (35.08), Pegnall (35.59), Beazeley (37.07), Gami and Ian Cummins followed Suett over the line, while Shiekh led the women in 35.55.

Islam, Chappell (39.15), Cassie Bryant (39.25), O’Hanlon (40.33), Rosina Salmon (40.44), Heather Impey, Beverley Eagles (41.47), Denise Woolston, Jane Swanson-Sprent (46.25), Northcott (46.29), Suzanne Easley (52.58) and Ronnie Waller (54.58) completed their contingent.

*Dagenham’s Nils Hollmann clocked 1:51.10 at the Owler half marathon in Kent, while David O’Brien set a new persona best of 47.43 at the Doncaster 10k.

Michael Pegnall ran a total of 17 miles after completing five laps of the Timelord on the Thames course at Walton, clocking 2:46.56.
