Dagenham 88s youngster Jak Wright faces the camera at his final junior parkrun

Dagenham 88 Runners Jak Wright completed his last junior parkrun at Central Park on Sunday.

Wright has been a regular at the event since its launch in 2014 and matched his course record of six minutes 40 seconds on his final outing.

Clubmate Ryder Islam (8.33) was next to finish, as Joseph Grange (10.20) completed a Dagenham 1-2-3.

Oliver Grange (11.04) and Annika Chowdhury (13.32) also represented the club and a spokesperson said: “It has been an absolute pleasure to watch Jak’s progress as a runner. He has been an excellent example for our younger juniors with his great sportsmanship and attitude.”

Caroline Tuck clocked 21.26 at the Raphael parkrun, ahead of Paul Eagles (25.57), Jacqui Elliott (34.53) and Stephen Easley (37.42).

Beverley Eagles (32.46), Krishan Chowdhury (34.26) and Julie Dalphinis (50.45) ran the Valentines parkrun, while Bill Metcalfe clocked 37.31 at the Conkers event in Leicestershire.
