Dagenham 88s youngster Joseph Grange currently holds the fastest global parkrun time for his age group after a fine display at Raphael Park.
Grange (pictured right) clocked 18.37 for the 5k event in Romford to set a new world best in the junior male 10 years and under category.
The previous best in JM10 was 18.53, recorded by Joshua Williams at the Wondai parkrun in Queensland, Australia.
And dad Paul said “Joseph has only started taking running a bit more seriously over the past six months, training at Ilford track with his older brother Jak and some really talented local athletes that are all older than him.
“I won’t be able to keep up with him for training runs soon!”
