STILLWATER REPORT: The weather conditions this week have again made fishing very difficult, poor conditions with ice and flooding, the major problem until the temperatures start to rise, while the water on the rivers and canals is very coloured.

On Wagtail Lake, at Tylers Common, Dave Watson, fishing peg 30, had bream to 5lbs also roach to 12ozs.

Martin Taylor fished peg 8 on Willow lake and had seven carp weighing up to 6lbs on wheat and hemp, anglers fishing close to Martin had roach and rudd.

Match results: Elm Park and Hornchurch DAS this week fished their February monthly club outing at Pea Lane. Top weight went to Keith Austin with 6lbs 11ozs, 2nd Colin Luff with 5lbs 7ozs, 3rd Peter Lester with 5lbs 1oz, 4th Martin Cass with 4lbs 1ozs, 5th Steve Little with 3lbs 15ozs, 6th P.Kendal with 3lbs 10ozs, 7th Peter Ainslie with 3lbs 9ozs, 8th John Aldis with 3lbs 5ozs, 9th Mickey Steadman with 2lbs 9ozs, 10th Brian Griffiths with 2lbs 2oz.

The Saturday Open on Ash Lake was won this week by Dennis Lipscombe on peg 9 with 29lbs 11ozs using pellet fishing at 12.5 metres while second-placed T.Eustace fishing peg 22 had 18lbs 8ozs.

Third place went to George Manoli on peg 7 who weighed in 11lbs 12ozs, 4th D.Davies on peg 3 had 8lbs 8ozs, 5th Alec Roberts with 7lbs 4ozs of roach and rudd, 6th on peg 23 was Rav Pisano with 1lb of roach.

All the anglers were kept busy breaking the ice before they could start the Saturday Open event.

Dennis Lipscombe will be running the Tuesday Open matches which are alternating between Ash Lake and Willow Lake.
