Barking Abbey’s Charlotte Ellmore helped Great Britain under-18s finish fourth at the Division B European Championships in Ireland.
The British girls stormed through the group phase in Dublin, before falling to eventual champions Germany in the semi-finals.
And although they were not able to defeat Poland for third place, Ellmore produced a number of impressive performances.
The five foot nine inch guard was the team’s third leading scorer, averaging 11.8 points per game, as well as adding 2.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.5 steals per outing.
Ellmore’s best performance came against group rivals Moldova, where she tallied 18 points, four rebounds, five assists and six steals whilst converting nine of her 15 shot attempts from the floor.
In all, she reached double figures in five of GB’s eight games, hitting 16 points on three occasions, against Ukraine, Macedonia and Slovak Republic.
Ellmore returns to Barking Abbey now for her second year, where she will continue to play a key role on the WBBL and WEABL squads.
