Barking & Dagenham Cycling Club’s Emanuel Budjei and Amy Harvey both secured second-place finishes in this year’s Hillingdon Winter Series after the final round of races.

Budjei brilliantly won the final under-eight boys’ race of the series, which was enough to see him secure second place overall.

Harvey, meanwhile, finished second overall in the under-16 girls’ category after placing third in the final race of a competitive series.

Carys Dodd was also in action in Hillingdon, finishing fourth in the under-14 girls’ race, while David Budjei was eighth in the under-10 boys’ race.

On the other side of London, three B&DCC members braved horrific conditions to compete in Hog Hill.

Leah Warrilow was the pick of the trio as she came third in the under-14 girls’ race at the Redbridge Cycling Centre.

Max Wilkins came eighth in the men’s junior race, while Jasmine Cornelius was 11th in the under-16 girls’ event.
