Elite Academy Basketball League: BHASVIC 35 Barking Abbey 75

Barking Abbey moved to 9-0 in the Elite Academy Basketball League with a 75-35 win at Brighton, Hove and Sussex Sixth Form College (BHASVIC) on Wednesday afternoon.

BHASVIC did well to keep the score close in the first quarter, before Abbey began to pull away in the second period to lead by 16 points at half-time.

In the third quarter, Barking used full-court pressure to break open the game, extending their lead to 30 points before cruising the rest of the way.

“We managed to work on a couple of new things today that we want to work on for the second part of the season,” said Abbey head coach James Vear. “Everyone contributed today and it was a solid team performance.”

Abbey were led by a 23 point-outing from Amin Adamu and 16 from Jubrile Belo, and Barking will look to go 10-0 next week when they take on John Madejski Academy at home.
