Stillwater report: It seems that match lake on the A12 Cuton Lakes is still producing some reasonable catches of roach quality perch and skimmers while the pike anglers have been catching on dead-baits too.

The pleasure lake and specimen lake are still a bit slow at the moment, but as the weather warms then conditions will get better. Club bookings are now being taken for the match lake. Ring 01245 461651 for details.

Set your sat nav to CM2 6NZ and that will get you there. Superb fishing at the Chelmer Village just 30 minutes from Gallows Corner.

Tylers Common is fishing reasonably well from all the lakes. The feeder producing, with maggot the favoured bait. Pole anglers catching on the pole with pellet.

Hemp caster and wheat catching most species on Wagtail. Pellet on Ash and Willow.

Match results: Elm Park & Hornchurch DAS members held their last monthly club outing of the season, the venue was the Grand Union Canal at Nash Mill.

Top weight on the day went to Peter Ainslie who weighed in with 5lbs 8ozs 8dms, 2nd Brian Griffiths with 3lbs 1oz 8dms, 3rd Steve Ewin with 1lbs 9ozs, 4th Mickey Steadman with 1lbs 3ozs 8dms, 5th Peter Jones with 11ozs 8dms.

Brunswick Brothers AS members fished their first match of their new season. The club, like many others, now rest up over the winter months.

The venue was the River Medway at Maidstone in Kent where they fished the town stretch by the road bridge.

Top weight to Dave Farman with an all roach catch for 25lbs 12ozs fishing caster on the pole, 2nd Matt Cole with 22lbs 8ozs of bream, 3rd Paul Cannon with 21lbs 4ozs all roach fishing hemp on the pole.

Fourth spot on the day went to Billy Bulmer all roach with 20lbs, 5th Terry Taylor all roach with 16lbs 8ozs, 6th R.King with 12lbs 2ozs, 7th George Cole with 6lbs 10ozs. Total weight of 131lbs 7ozs.

Match details: The Saturday Open matches at Tylers Common on the Ash Lake will be run by Bobby Wager.
