Mayesbrook Park club enjoyed winning weekend in both Essex County Premier Division and Essex County League Cup

Barking will look to claim some silverware on Saturday when they tackle Scintilla in the semi-finals of the Essex County League’s T20 Cup.

The Mayesbrook Park outfit head into the tie after a solid weekend saw them win in both the Premier Division and the Essex County League Cup.

At home to Bow Green in their final league game of the season last weekend, Barking recorded a 90-run victory.

Nehal Butt (72) and Bhavik Kothari (56) hit half-centuries as the Mayesbrook Park club closed on 191-9, before the former took 5-10 with the ball as Bow Green could only make 101 in reply.

In the Essex County League Cup semi-finals on Monday, Barking beat Scintilla by three wickets.

Ehsan Afzal was the star for the Mayesbrook Park club as he hit a brilliant 76 to steer his side to success.

Barking will look to use the confidence gained from that cup success on Saturday when they look to get the better of Scintilla again and claim some silverware.

Newham meet Redbridge in the other semi-final.
