Barking & Dagenham Cycling Club enjoyed great success at the Petit Tour in Welwyn Garden City on Sunday, with some superb results for newcomers.

Of the rookies, Kacey Gibson won the girls’ under-16 race, Amy Harvey triumphed in the girls’ under-14 event, Yassin Mohd Aswat was first in the boys’ under-12 category and Mary Oluntunde was fastest in the girls’ under-12 competition.

There was also success for Henry Hobbs, who won the boys’ under-10 race, Iona Moir, who was first in the girls’ under-14 event, and Carys Dodds, who was second in the girls’ under-12 category.

Also in action were Lee Cullender, Alfie Cullender and Lee and Jack Marshall.

A day earlier, Moir was third in the girls’ under-14 race at RCC, where Caelan Miller won the boys’ under-14 race, whilst Charlie Marshall, Damien Dodd and Callum Moir were also in action.

On the same day at Alconbury, club mate Noah Hobbs narrowly missed out on a podium finish.
