The latest news from Dagenham BC
Dagenham BC’s Jonathan Camilleri and Yunnus Abbais both claimed fine victories on the Lion ABC show on Sunday.
Against home hope Mo Khaled, Camilleri boxed well and controlled the fight in the first two rounds.
The Daggers boxer continued to dominate in the third, dropping Khaled with a wicked right-hand that led to the referee intervening.
Abbais was even more devastating in his win over Lion’s Josh O’Brian with the Daggers man forcing three counts inside the first round, before the referee brought an early end to proceedings.
The success for Camilleri and Abbais means the pair are both unbeaten in their last two bouts.
This weekend sees Tariq Agius compete in the quarter-finals of the National Association of Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs Championships.
A multi-titled star of the Daggers team, Agius will hope to continue his march towards more national glory this weekend with victory in his last eight bout.
